In Loving Memory of Queen
Angela Schmid,
July 18, 1951 - March 31, 2018
Born in summer of 1951 in the aftermath of the Second World War in Wels/Austria, Angela's life started out very plain.
In 1942, in the midst of WWII, her father Adam Scheks and his entire family with 11 siblings was driven out of their hometown in former Yugoslavia in a sudden guerrilla attack and dispersed as refugees to 3 different continents.
After the war her mother, Elisabeth, lived with her family of 24 siblings in a simple log cabin in a rural part of Austria without electricity, sustaining life by working hard as farmhands at surrounding farms. So one would not wonder why Angela spent her childhood in a refugee camp.
Her joyful and simple spirit led refugee children from many nations to play harmoniously together.
As the second oldest in her family of 6 siblings it was normal for her to
support her parents to sustain the growing family. She developed a deep love for Jesus and loved to carry His picture around, especially at Christmas time.
When she was 12 her family finally bought a piece of land and built a simple home with the help of some relatives abroad.
As a teenager Angela started to work in a hospital helping to take care of orphans.
In 1975 she was intrigued by her younger sister when she was witnessed to about the Second Coming of Christ.
She joined the Unification Church family in Austria and invested herself from the beginning to prepare the way for God's Kingdom to come. God guided her feet to the city of Hannover in Germany, where her father had been fighting during the war.
Deeply moved she found her first spiritual son there.
Her next mission started in Great Britain with the Home Church providence. Having just a simple education she never learned English in school.
In the time of heavy persecution and only relying on God and True Father's guidance she victoriously found another spiritual son - now a UTS graduate - and was then called to America to join the national MFT in Ohio.
A good friend recalls this time: "She was such a fighter and wanted to do her very best in fundraising and everything else for God! Her heart was so genuine and her spirit unwavering."
She received an award from True Father twice for reaching the first place in the nation.
Although she did not stay in Austria for long - she was matched in 1980 by True Father to Herwig Schmid, the only Austrian present at that time in the New Yorker Grand Ballroom.
Receiving the Holy Blessing together with 2075 couples from the Messiah himself was something so precious that she never again washed the clothes He once touched when his strong hand hurled her into the arms of her eternal spouse.
As a true warrior for God she once more heeded the call to join the "One World Crusade" despite her strong desire to start a blessed family. From 1983 -1992 she gave birth to 2 girls and 3 boys in America while seizing every moment to testify to True Parents.
Being called to the Hometown Providence in 1992 and giving birth to our youngest daughter, Angela reached out for 22 years as a lighthouse of True Love - even to the unlovable ones.
Finally, in 2012 God instilled a mysterious call into her husband's heart, "Creating the New We''.
After much prayer she found True Father confirming to join her husband to move to America once again in 2014 and find True Father's heir Hyung Jin Nim, the Second King, in the wilderness of Pennsylvania.
God graciously extended her life until she finally could be registered in the Book of Life in God's Kingdom and blessed together with her eternal spouse as King and Queen of CIG on February 28th, 2018.
CSG Book 6, Chapter 1 (The path of life) page 782
You should die in the highest position centered on the nation of God's
heart, which penetrates heaven and earth. You should die in the midst
Of the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Kingdom Of Heaven is the best place to die. When the entire world opposes you, what will you do? Should you run away?
No. You should endure and die in circumstances that lead everyone in heaven and on earth to raise a flag and welcome you.

Angela's Prayer Card
Unshakeable, unchanging and unconditional
Dear Brothers and sisters.
For those of you who don’t know me. My name is Dyella and I am Angela and Herwig Schmid’s second daughter, their 5th out of 6 children.
Usually people would take this time to say good bye, but I want to welcome you here today with us Mom - and into every moment of our lives you want to be part of.
I must admit that as I was preparing myself for today that I was terrified. Scared to face reality as it is now and that I would not find the right words to fully express my feelings and my deepest love, respect and honor that I have for my mother in these few words.
She probably would have told me in this situation not to be afraid because fear does not come from God. Angela, my mother is someone who loves God, True Father and True Mother with the sincere and pure love a child has for their parents.
Unshakeable unchanging and unconditional.
My siblings and I are so blessed to have her as a mother. There was so much I have learned from her and I am sure there will be much more that she will teach me. I want to be able to spend eternal life with her one day, but I will have to work hard to reach a level even close to where she is in now.
My goal in life is to be a mother just like she was. Loving, caring, giving, kind, joyful, devoted, loyal, truthful, faithful - if I would continue I would be standing here for at least a week but to keep it short simply the best Mom of all time.
She was and still is always here for us. Everyone who knew my mother can witness her joyful and embracing loving spirit. She was like a mother to a lot of people.
I remember when I was about 16 years old I went to a Divine Principle workshop and my friend Daniela and I shared a room together. I hadn’t seen my mother for a whole week, so I told my friend that I miss my mother. She replied with “I miss YOUR mother too”.
I can’t tell you how much I miss her and her hugs and her laughter. There are a lot of things I will miss. There was a time in my life where my faith was shaking, and the world out there wanted me to think that this was MY life and I should do whatever I wanted and makes ME happy.
But my mother was very clear in just one text message I received from her as I left my parents’ home.
She wrote “Whoever does not honor their parents is not worthy of heaven and earth”, which expressed a summary of the 5th commandment: "Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you."
I read this message at least 10 more times before it hit me. My own mother was telling me that the life I was living would lead me straight to hell. This sentence hit me so hard till this very day that I completely devoted my life to God, True Father and my parents.
The people were right though, I should life my life. But some of them still don’t understand that I have received my life from God through my parents and my happiness comes from their happiness.
I did not create myself. I am a product of my parent’s love centered on God.
It was my parents who sacrificed themselves, loved me unconditionally, taught me to walk, to speak, to be patient and kind, to respectful and loving, to believe and there are so many more things what they did to raise me up into the woman who is standing here in front of you today.
As my mother was getting weaker I prayed and asked God to perform a miracle. He has done it before so why can’t He just heal my mother. She had suffered enough. I shared these thoughts and my heart with my husband Kyle who is always here for me. It is amazing that I could not see what he was about to tell me.
He told me that the miracle has already happened, and that God filled my mother’s last year of life with many blessings.
She was able to attend the
- Cosmic Perfection Blessing and Holy Marriage of True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humanity,
- my own Holy Marriage Blessing to Kyle Yoder and the
- Cheon Il Guk Book of Life Registration Blessing Ceremony together with my father as a King and Queen under True Father’s Authority.
She is a pioneer once again as many times in her life before and is possibly the first queen of CIG in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
If you think about it - a year ago she was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer in multiple parts of her body. The doctors already gave up on her a year ago, but she kept fighting for God till the end honoring the love and patience and many months of research and care from my father.
THIS was the miracle God performed. Thank you, Heavenly Father, and Thank You Daddy. Without you she would not have endured for so long. You were loving and coaching and caring for her holding her hand till her very last breath.
True Father knew that you were made for each other. Mom - I want to thank you for all the talks we had and all the good advice, for every single hug and all the kisses I have received and could give to you.
Thank you for all the times you were here for us caring for us and all the delicious meals you have prepared with so much love. Thank you that I could spend 27 years of my life with you. And most of all I want to thank you for my siblings – Sandra, Alvin, Roy, Goodwin and Nathania.
Mom - You will continue to live in our hearts. May we all bring the glory to True Father as you have done.
We love you always and forever!

Short testimony from our youngest son, Goodwin Schmid, currently in Austria/Europe.
Hello my Name is Alvin Schmid, I am the oldest son in my Family,
My mother had a lot of qualities and she was a person who people admired a lot.
She had the attitude to serve others and sacrifice for the greater good especially
for her family and people she loved.
When we were kids, our beloved mother always fulfilled her perfect role as a mother by giving everything we needed without complaining or taking a day off.
Taking care of 6 children without complaining and staying humble must be one of the hardest jobs on earth.
I'm so proud that my Mom had such a challenging job, being there for us and spreading her love every second.
We always had a lot of blessed children staying with our family during school breaks and I remember friends told me that they wished to have a mother just like my Mom! Thinking about it they were right about that.
Whenever life was hard or challenging for me I always got a godly advice from my mother and she kept cheering me up whenever I felt doubt in life.
She always gave me hope to keep believing in myself and that God is always here for me. In my darkest hours she always stood beside me and never had any doubts believing in me.
Cheering up people and giving them hope was a strong feature my mother represented.
What she loved about life is being a mother and helping others. She loved singing at anytime and go out to spread the love and the Word of God to friends and strangers without any regrets.
I think you need a lot of courage to go out on the street and talk to people about God's principle, but for my mother that was never problem, she always felt very confident about that. I really admired her courage doing that.
She also cooked like in a five star restaurant chef and she loved food and loved to eat! Serving others including her kids gave her so much fulfillment and satisfaction and I think it also made her happy to live a life in service!
I have a lot of good memories with my Mom.
As a small kid I always wanted to be next to my Mom, because she made me feel safe and that was an overwhelming feeling that helped me a lot to develop my character.
My best memory with my Mom was whenever we were celebrating our birthdays.
While Daddy was recording a video, my mother was taking the lead to manage that everything is done right.
I loved just being next to my Mom and feeling that love treating me like a king, even though I sometimes didn’t deserve it.
When she decided to get in shape a few years ago she started to go Nordic walking every single day.
I was so proud of her because even though it was cold or raining she was absolute determined to beat the weather with no excuses. She just took her rain coat without complaining and started walking until she reached her destination for that day and then walked all the way back again.
Secretly I was always so proud of her, because she was so confident to do that and to lose weight.
She was also impressed when I was working out physically and proud about her son that he is so physically strong and was joking around that her muscles are like pudding compared to mine, that made us both laugh a lot.
But thinking back, she was always the strongest person, our shield carrier and true hero in our family and it took me a while to understand that a true hero isn’t measured by the size of her strength, but the strength of her heart!
Mama I love you, I always did and you will always be part of my heart.
Thank you for making me the person I am today and even a much better person for the future!
